Polibench's design was developed and designed from formations of glacial crevices.
Benches are an important part of the city. Polibench is inspired by dynamic rock forms, shaped by demands for type, function and ergonomics. Its glossy coating, reflecting the shimmering luster of solid ice, evokes the image of a glacier in a sea of space.
The seating group is shaped in dynamic curvilinear forms, developed by combining 1 module with 8 pieces of glass fiber reinforced concrete, a hard and durable material that transitions to a softer and more fluid surface. It has been designed as 4m wide and 50 cm high.
It is an important urban furniture especially for the residents who need to take part in many public spaces such as the square, street and AVM. This design has two functions both as a seating unit and as a landscape element and serves the city residents.
It is produced with precast dressing in order to hide the steel carrier system. The most important feature of using precast material on the sitting surface is that if it is hot or cold depending on the weather conditions, it does not disturb in contact with the human body.
Seating units allow modular use. A long seating unit or a pool can be created side by side. In areas such as squares, parks, gardens that have a wide viewing angle, modules can be combined to expand the seating unit and take different shapes.
